Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment
Addiction affects well over 20 million Americans each year. Addictions involve compulsions to use things, such as drugs, alcohol, gambling or food, to excess. Addictions are dangerous for people who have them and cause pain and suffering for friends & family members. Symptoms of addiction include financial problems, absenteeism and health issues. At MCA, we are dedicated to helping you overcome your addiction and work toward healthier, happier lives. We treat various types of drug addiction, mental health conditions, and co-occurring disorders. Our dual diagnosis treatment programs simultaneously address substance abuse and any underlying mental health conditions that could contribute to addiction, laying a stronger foundation for lasting wellness and recovery. Clients experience measurable improvements in mental health, in most cases with 30 days in treatment. If you or a loved one is ready for a sober future, we’re here to serve you. Once we learn more about your unique condition and needs, we’ll design a custom tailored outpatient treatment plan that will put you on the path toward recovery.
At MCA, we know that addiction can affect anyone, no matter your age, gender, or socioeconomic status. Here are some of the most common risk factors associated with addiction:

HEALTH FACILITY
Intensive Outpatient Programming
Mca offers an intensive outpatient program (iop) for those struggling with substance abuse and mental illness. We recommend this program for those who need a transitional level of care as they step down from inpatient treatment, as well as those looking to supplement their recovery. Our program meets three to five days during the week for three hours on each day. Iop has grown more popular because of its convenience, flexibility and affordability. Unlike inpatient treatment, you do not have to live at our facility. This grants you the freedom to return home to your family and maintain much of your normal routine. Whether youre looking to step down from a previous inpatient level of care or whether you just want to add support to your existing recovery, our intensive outpatient program may be an excellent option.
Why choose IOP?
An IOP is a type of substance abuse or mental health treatment where people visit our outpatient treatment facility for several hours, 3 – 5 days a week. This is more intensive than the standard outpatient program because you will spend more hours attending therapy or clinical services. Unlike an inpatient program, you will go home each day. This allows you to receive therapy, but you can still work and care for your family. At MCA we will offer flexible meeting times, such as morning, afternoon, and evenings. You will spend the majority of times in group, but individual sessions and other therapies such as art therapy, yoga, nutritional education, and relapse prevention may be offered as well.
The First Step
On your initial assessment at our center, we will determine if IOP is an effective therapy for you. Because IOP serves a wide-range of functions, people in all stages of their recovery are able to join our program. IOP can help individuals just beginning therapy or it can be used to help individuals transitioning from inpatient programs.
IOP is ideal for individuals who recognize they have an addiction and know that they need help. IOP is an excellent alternative to residential treatment. The less restrictive environment is ideal for these situations.
IOP for Individuals Transitioning From an Inpatient Program
For individuals who were recently in an inpatient program, IOP can help you cope with the stress from going from a structured environment to the freedom of home, which can jeopardize your recovery. IOP treatment allows you to gradually transition to everyday life. By design, IOP helps you with managing cravings, avoiding triggers, managing medications and coping with stressful situations. This gives you more time to grow stronger in your recovery. Because you will not be in a 24/7 inpatient program, IOP will help you identify a good support system at home. As long as your family is well-informed on addiction and can maintain a safe, sober environment, an IOP is a good alternative to residential treatment. Outpatient IOP is a treatment that allows you to maintain much of your normal routine. With flexible hours, you can work on your recovery while also managing your responsibilities as a parent, student or working professional.
